Good Saturday after the end of school for the year! Praying that each and all of you are keeping well and being blessed by the blossoms and buds, (but not the bugs) of summer! Thousands of dainty white blossoms have appeared in acres and acres of farmland around us, showing promise of an abundant harvest of potatoes. The Japanese brothers who have a very large potato farming enterprise were once asked: What is your personal favorite kind of potato? Without hesitation, one brother replied:"The kind we can sell!" In their operation they grow "fingerling" white potatoes, a favorite, I am told, for gourmet cooks and high class restaurants! Do YOU have a favorite way you like potatoes? King Hezekiah did as the Lord commanded and was greatly blessed. It's interesting that Psalm 46, by the sons of Korah, as you know, celebrates the victory God gave over the 185,000 warriors of the Assyrian General Sennacherib! Anyway, I have "graduated" from physical therapy and have three pages of diagrams and instructions for home exercises! Gaining strength in my arms and legs is the continuing goal, of course. A retired teacher friend who just turned 92, is struggling greatly with severe macular degeneration. My heart aches to know that Shirley can just barely see to use the microwave and is completely unable to read even her large print Bible, using the 14 power magnifier I got her.
