And what you put into the ground is not the plant that will grow, but only a dry little seed of wheat or whatever it is that you are planting. Then GOD gives it a NEW body- just the kind He wants it to have. A different kind of plant grows from each kind of seed. What do YOU do, my "walking with Jesus" friend, when you want someone to REALLY understand something? Yes, you take time to explain as carefully as you can. Well, THAT is what Paul is doing, as he continues his letter to the Corinthians. "So you see, just as sin came into the world through a man, Adam, now the resurrection of the dead has come through the man Christ. Everyone dies because all of us are related to Adam, the first man. BUT, hear THIS: all who believe in Christ and therefore have been adopted into the family of God <John 1:12 > will be given New Life. Here is the order of this Resurrection: First, Christ was raised, by the power of God; then, when Christ returns, all HIS people will be raised." (1 Corinthians 15:21-23) Those who have THIS confident expectation are spiritually purified by this hope. THEY "see" beyond the present troubles and sorrows to the bright future God has planned for HIS children.(1 John 3:3) Let's rejoice in...

Back in Corinth, the brothers and sisters continue to read their first letter from the Apostle Paul. "You heard our careful preaching, brethren, that Christ ROSE from the dead and appeared to the disciples, to 500 brethren at a time, and lastly, the Risen Christ did appear to me. With ALL that clear teaching and testimony, why are some of you saying that "there is no resurrection of the dead?" Please, think about it this way: IF there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised, and you are still under condemnation for your sins. BUT, as surely as I came to you, shared my testimony and preached Christ RISEN, Christ IS RISEN from the dead. And He has become, by the power of God, the FIRST of a great harvest of Believers who WILL BE RAISED to life again." Psalm 27:1, declares:"The Lord is my Light and my salvation ...the Lord is the STRENGTH of my life..."Psalm 29:11, tells us:" The Lord will give STRENGTH to His people..." We call it, "Good," when we finish a project, Right? My "walking with Jesus" friend? Today all over the planet, Christians observe "Good Friday." It's the Friday before Easter. Why is it called "Good" Friday? For the best, most wonderful reason in the world! "Good," because, in obedience to his heavenly Father, Jesus Christ "endured the cross," following the plan of our Heavenly Father that our sins be paid for. In fact from the cross Jesus said:" It is finished." What was finished? The plan of God that our sins be paid for was finished. And it is good that, through Jesus, God gave us a clear way to establish a relationship with Himself. God wants fellowship with us because He made us and loves us. But, we are sinful, and God can not look upon sin, so he can not have us near Him UNLESS the sin has been forgiven/covered/ cleaned up.
