What do YOU do, my "walking with Jesus" friend, when you want someone to REALLY understand something? Yes, you take time to explain as carefully as you can. Well, THAT is what Paul is doing, as he continues his letter to the Corinthians. "So you see, just as sin came into the world through a man, Adam, now the resurrection of the dead has come through the man Christ. Everyone dies because all of us are related to Adam, the first man. BUT, hear THIS: all who believe in Christ and therefore have been adopted into the family of God <John 1:12 > will be given New Life. Here is the order of this Resurrection: First, Christ was raised, by the power of God; then, when Christ returns, all HIS people will be raised." (1 Corinthians 15:21-23) Those who have THIS confident expectation are spiritually purified by this hope. THEY "see" beyond the present troubles and sorrows to the bright future God has planned for HIS children.(1 John 3:3) Let's rejoice in this confidence and live a pure, loving, giving life for Jesus, my friend.
