Back in Rome, the Believers continue to consider their letter from the Apostle Paul: Romans 3:23-25. "We need to acknowledge that all have sinned; all of us fall short of the glorious standard of God. Yet NOW, in His gracious kindness God declares us "not guilty," through Christ Jesus who has freed us by taking away our sins. God sent His Perfect only Son, Jesus Christ, to take the punishment for our sins. We could not pay for our sins, we are not perfect. Only a perfect sacrifice can pay for sin. Why must sin be paid for? Because God wants us to be with Him in heaven when we are finished here on earth and He can not look upon sin. So God arranged for our sin to be forgiven by the blood of Jesus. WHEN we BELIEVE in Jesus we are made right with God. WHEN we BELIEVE that Jesus shed His blood/sacrificed His life for us, then was raised to life by the power of God. So, we were dead,
spiritually, without Christ. But have been raised to New Life by believing that Christ paid for our sins, past, present and future. When we sin after believ ing in Christ, we simply confess our sin and God, our Heavenly Father will forgive our sin, cleanse us and lead us in paths of Righteousness."
