Our Risen Lord Jesus Christ told his disciples:"You shall receive POWER after that the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost parts of the earth."(Acts 1:8) Yes, my "walking with Jesus" friend, soon after that they were baptized with the Holy Spirit of God, giving them POWER from God to go everywhere and tell everyone the Good News: Believe in the Son of God, the Risen Lord Jesus Christ. Our Holy God requires that your sins be paid for/be cleansed. You can't clean up your own act, but, through the substitutionary death of Christ, your sins can be forgiven. And the power of God, demonstrated by God raising Christ from the dead will give you new life here, and Eternal Life in the hereafter when you believe. Yes, "God was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself."( 2 Corinthians 5:19a) The
Spirit- empowered disciples took that message everywhere, including to the ruling capitol of their day: to Rome, 1,432 miles NE from Jerusalem. IN 60 AD, the Apostle Paul wrote to Believers in Rome. Tomorrow we will begin our next adventure in the New Testament by "walking" into the book of Romans. Rejoice for us to be together in this Faith-Adventure.
