Good morning, my " walking with Jesus" friend. It's a fact that YOU can do some things that your neighbor can not do, right? Different people have different abilities. Now, in writing to the Corinthians, Paul explains that the Holy Spirit of God gives different SPIRITUAL gifts to different people. But the different gifts are intended to be combined together in the fellowship of the church, so that all the different SPIRITUAL needs will be met. Some are given the gift of teaching. Some are given the gift of healing and others are given the gift of prophecy. There are many different spiritual gifts.Each gift is important. Treasure and use the gift the Holy Spirit has given YOU. Use it to build up other fellow believers in the church, so that the whole church benefits from each gift and from all the gifts combined. It's like the human body, he explains. Does the ear complain because
it's not an eye? Does the foot want to be a hand? What if the ear wanted to be everything? That would be nonsense. Just as the body needs all its parts, the church needs each person to use the gift they are given, together with others using their gifts. Bottom line: we need and are called to VALUE each other and work together, says Paul in 1 Corinthians, chapter 12.
