Do you have certain highly treasured memories? Well, my "walking with Jesus" friend, now, in 1 Corinthians 11, Paul talks about the treasured memory of Jesus Christ at the Last Supper, and the importance of reverently remembering and celebrating the last supper for it's spiritual benefit and blessings. "For this is what the Lord Jesus Himself said ( and I am passing it on to you, just as I received it). On the very night in which he was betrayed, our Lord Jesus took up a loaf of bread, and after he gave thanks, he broke it, saying, ',This symbolizes my body, which is given for you. Eat this in remembrance of me.' In the same way, he lifted up a cup of wine, after supper, saying,' This cup symbolizes the New Covenant between God and you, sealed by the shedding of my blood. Do this in remembrance of me, as often as you drink it.' For every time you eat bread and drink this cup, you are
proclaiming the sacrifice made by Christ for you. Keep doing this until Jesus Christ returns."(1 Corinthians 11:17-26) Being promopted to remember what Christ has done for us is intended to help us live with an attitude of gratitude and actions of kindness to others.
