While we are considering the subject of idols, my "walking with Jesus" friend, let's have a look at Psalm 115:1-13, selected, "We give glory unto the Name of the Lord, remembering the mercy and truth of the Lord. Why do the heathen ask, where is the God of Israel? What they should realize is that OUR GOD is in the heavens, He does whatever He pleases! We see that their idols are made of silver or gold and are the work of men's hands. They have mouths, but they can not speak, eyes but they can not see. They have ears, but they do not hear, noses, but they can not smell, Hands but they handle nothing, feet but they can not walk, and with their throat they can not speak . They that make them are like them, and so is anyone who trusts in them. But the people of the Lord God who made Heaven and Earth, trust in God Almighty, for He has proven Himself. He IS their help and shield. The Lord God, our Provider will bless those who fear Him,/ show reverence to Him and honor Him, both small and great." Are WE always careful to put God first, and honor His Holy Name?
