Have you, or I, my "walking with Jesus" friend, ever tried, ALL day, to persuade someone of something? ...Or maybe even all week? From Paul's track record of success in spreading the good news of Jesus into all Judaea, Samaria, Galilee and on north to Ephesus, Galatia Thessalonica, Phillipi and Corinth, we know that his message was clear and convincing...But God, who knows men's hearts had reminded Isaiah, (44:18) @700 BC, that some hearers, do not want to hear or understand, do not let themselves see something new and, therefore, do not receive the salvation and healing being offered. Paul reminded his Jewish listeners that God already prophesied that, even though the message of salvation came, first of all, to them, that some would not believe. And so, Paul concluded the day-long session saying, in effect, I want you to realize that this salvation from God, presented first to the
Jews, is available to the Gentiles also. And many of THEM have already accepted it, and many more will. Then the Jews departed. And there was much disputing among them.(Acts 28:27-31)O Lord, may the eyes of OUR understanding be open to Your Truth in Your Word.
