Seeing fellow believers come to meet him, bringing the joy of fellowship AND the comfort of practical comforts, Paul "thanked God and took courage," declares Acts 28:15. Took courage/ was encouraged, my "walking with Jesus" friend. But, let's think about it. How many challenging circumstances had Paul already endured? Hostile mobs, a stoning. Arrest. A flogging. False accusations. Two years in prison in Caesera, a legal struggle. A terrifying storm at sea. Shipwreck. Snake bite. Three months stranded on the tiny island of Malta, a forced March 170 miles from the port of Puteoli ( modern Naples) to imprisonment in Rome! Imagine even ONE of those things happening to YOU! But, Paul asked the Believers at Rome: "Who shall separate us from the Love of Christ?" Shall tribulation or distress or persecution, famine or nakedness?" And he answers his question:" NO. In ALL these things we are
MORE than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature shall be able to separate us from the Love of God which is th Christ Jesus our Lord."(Romans 8:35-39) Now THAT is super dynamic FAITH!! Let US work to have such FAITH, my friend!
