Of course, my "walking with Jesus" friend, the question of whether or not a non-Jewish person/aka, a Gentile had to accept and follow Jewish laws...along with Jesus...would NOT EVEN have come up, EXCEPT for some, "so-called" Christians came and spayed on us, seeing the freedom under GRACE that we enjoy in Christ. They tried to convince us to get all tied up in their 600+ rules, like slaves in chains. But, we did NOT listen to them for a single minute. We know, from Christ, that salvation can NOT be earned by observing Jewish laws. Salvation is only by Grace, through Faith, which is the gift of God. And when Peter, James and John, the "pillars of the church" learned how greatly the Lord had used us to win many Gentiles to Christ, they praised God, just as we praised God at how greatly Peter had been used to win many Jews to Jesus. Confirming to us that God calls each one to his/her own
ministry. The only thing they did suggest was that we should always remember to help the poor, and we also are eager to minister to those in need. (Galatians 2:4-10) Do WE share in that calling?
