Is it often wise to be informed/to have some background information in order properly to understand a situation? I think we can agree, my "walking with Jesus"friend, that it is. So, Paul had found 100% agreement with the leaders of the church: Disciples Peter, James and John as to the preaching and teaching Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, there were some Jews who insisted that anyone converted to Christ, MUST then, ALSO, be taught to follow Jewish law. BUT, the Lord Jesus Christ declared:" I came not to destroy the law [the law of Moses, which had 631 Commandments, according 3rd century A.D. Rabbi Simlai] I came to FULFILL the law."(Matthew 5:17) So, of course, Peter, James, John and Paul taught that: Jesus is all you need for salvation. Salvation comes by Grace of God, through Faith, which is the gift of God, so that no man can boast that his good works or his keeping of laws brought
salvation. You Galatians KNOW how clearly I preached and taught THAT, Paul wrote. So disregard those who are trying to persuade you to be tied up with Jewish religious laws. Keep to the clear Gospel through the Grace of God, he told them. Aren't WE called to do the same?
