"Walking with Jesus," my friend, at this time we are also "walking with the Apostle Paul." Gov. Felix has left him in prison for two years...with no trial, and no decision. Now Felix is replaced by Gov. Festus. Acts 25:1-5, reports:" Three days after Festus arrived in the provincial capitol of Caesarea, to take over his responsibilities, he left for Jerusalem. There, the chief priests and other Jewish leaders got hold of him. They gave him Their story about Paul. They pleaded with him to bring Paul to Jerusalem for trial. Festus suspected there would be trouble in Jerusalem. (He was correct. In fact, the sneaky group that had plotted to waylay and kill him was still intent on accomplishing that.)Anyway Festus said, "No. Paul is at Caesarea. I am returning there soon. Those with authority in the matter must come THERE for the trial." What do you think, my friend? Has Paul been kept
safe, again? Surely he can say, with Psalm 62:3, "Lord, You have been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy." Yes, Proverbs 18:10, declares:" The Name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run into it and are safe."
