WILL the controversy have been settled by Paul's high profile participation in the Jewish purification ritual? Would that have settled it for you, my "walking with Jesus" friend? Acts 21:27-32, tells us:" The seven days of the purification ritual were almost over when suddenly some Jews from the region of Turkey spotted Paul in the temple and roused a mob against him. In fact, they grabbed him yelling:" Help! Help! This is the man that preaches against our people and tells everyone to disobey Jewish laws. [which was a lie] He even talks against the temple [another bold lie] and defiles it by bringing Gentiles into it. [which was another lie fabricated because, earlier in the day, down in the city, but NOT in the temple, they had seen Paul with Trophimus, a Gentile from their region in Turkey.] The Whole population of the city was electrified by these accusations. A great riot developed.
Paul was dragged out of the temple, and the mob started beating him. The commander of the Roman garrison at Jerusalem quickly ordered his soldiers to control the mob, bind Paul and take him into the Armory."
