The great goings on with salvation and baptisms in Samaria through the preaching and teaching of the Apostles, came to the attention of the Apostles who were still in Jerusalem. And, my "walking with Jesus" friend, what do you think they did about it? What would YOU and I do about it? Yes, of course, they sent their leaders, Peter and John. And when THEY joined the Apostles and all the Believers in Samaria, they laid hands on the new Believers and prayed mightily with them that they be baptised with the Holy Spirit. And the Holy Spirit came upon them with power. Now, something interesting happened. Remember that Simon, the sorcerer, had become a Believer. Well, now he had been blessed to receive the Holy Spirit when the Apostles had laid hands on him and prayed. "And when Simon saw that through the laying on of the Apostles hands, the Holy Spirit was given, he offered them money,
saying, 'Give me also this power, so that whoever I touch may receive the Holy Spirit.' Peter told him:'May your money perish with you. The gift of God can not be bought with money.'
