Yes, an angel freed Peter and the Apostles from the High Priest's prison. Then, my "walking with Jesus" friend, three things happened simultaneously! Peter and the Apostles started preaching and teaching in the temple. While, at the same time, over in the palace of the High Priest, the council was being called together and the guards were sent to bring the prisoners. "But when the officers got to the prison, they found no prisoners. So, they went back and told, saying, we found the prison securely shut and the guards alert and on duty, but we the prison doors were unlocked, we went in and found no one there. Now, when the High Priest and the captain of the guard heard these things, they feared that word of the locked but empty prison would get out. Just then in came a man from the temple, saying, Those men you put in prison are standing in the temple preaching and teaching, and many
