Good Morning, my "walking with Jesus" friend, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only Son of the Lord Most High, may God bless you. Now, in Acts 6:1-7, we find that the number of Believers continued "multiplying rapidly, " so that the disciples found themselves busy distributing supplies. And they said to everyone, "We need to devote our time to prayer, preaching and teaching, not distributing supplies. So, how about choosing seven brothers who are wise, full of the Holy Spirit and well respected. And THEY can be in charge of distribution." Everyone agreed to that idea and seven men were chosen. ( What qualities would YOU consider essential for a man responsible for supplies and the fair distribution of food?)Strong faith and evidence of the Holy Spirit in his life are the primary qualities of their first choice, Stephen. Also chosen were: Philip, Prochorus, Nicantor, Timon,
Parmenad and Nicholas of Antioch. The Apostles prayed over them with the laying on of hands in special blessing. "Thus, the message of God was preached and the number of Believers continued to multiply."
