Luke 7:11-17 tells us: Jesus, with his disciples and a considerable crowd we approaching the gate of the city of Main. There, they encountered a funeral procession. Many people were crying, for it was the only Son of a widow lady. Moved with compassion, Jesus said to the widowed mother:" Do not weep." Hee touched the coffin, and those who were carrying it stood still. Speaking into the coffin, Jesus said: " Young man, I say to you, Arise." And he that had been dead sat up and began to speak. And Jesus gave him to his mother. "And a fear came upon them all:" Luke reports, "And they glorified God, and said among themselves, ' A great prophet has risen among us; GOD has visited His people.' And word of Jesus and the raising to life of the widow's son spread throughout all Judea and the region round about." Special power from God enabled Jesus to bring about miracles, clearly demonstrating that he came from God and that God was with him.
