We are on time, my "walking with Jesus" friend. It's the Sabbath and we are in the synagogue. (Jewish place of worship...like a church building is the place of worship for Christians.) " Jesus entered the synagogue and was teaching. And there was a man whose right hand was withered. Now, the scribes and Pharisees watched carefully to see if Jesus would heal the man on the Sabbath, so they could accuse him of breaking the religious law of no work on the Sabbath. [You KNOW what is going to happen, of course] Jesus knew their thoughts. 'Rise and stand forth,' he told the man with the withered hand. The man stood forth. Then Jesus asked the Pharisees: 'Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good, or to do evil? To save life or to destroy?' Then, looking around upon the whole congregation, he said to the man: 'Stretch out your hand.' And he did so: and his hand was restored, as whole as the
other. But the Pharisees were filled with madness and talked among themselves what they might do to Jesus."(Matthew 6:6-11) Are WE "small-minded"? Or, do WE rejoice when God brings healing?
